In honor of National Brain Tumor Awareness, The LBC is GOING GREY IN MAY to help build awareness, raise funds and inspire hope for the brain tumor community.
Why are we going grey in May…700,000 Americans are living with a brain tumor today, approximately 84,000 Americans will be diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2021 (11,700 will be children and young adults) and unfortunately it is estimated that 18,000 people will lose their fight against brain cancer this year as a result of their malignant brain tumor…and it is a cause near and dear to our heart.
How are we going Grey in May??
- Selling LBC Go Grey in May TShirts! TShirts are still in production though these pics are a sneak peak of the design of the front and back of the tees, the shirts will be asphalt grey with white puff printing. They will be available for purchase this Friday and the entire month of May in our tap room or you can call us 315-719-3445 for out of state orders and shipping (preorders are available!) Shirts are $25 and 100% of the profits from these shirts will go towards our “Go Grey in May” fundraiser.
- LIVE MUSIC is always free at the LBC, through the month of May we are asking for donations when our LBC patrons and friends come in to enjoy LIVE MUSIC from these amazing musicians. Additionally, we will donate $1 of every pint served while we have LIVE music to our “Go Grey in May” efforts! Again, all donations with go to this fundraiser!
- 100% of the funds raised while we “Go Grey in May” will go directly to patients and their families who are currently undergoing brain tumor and brain cancer treatments at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts to help with their medical care, treatment costs and other hidden expenses patients and families face when managing a brain cancer diagnosis. The funds will be managed through “Walk with Us” a 501c organization that provides financial support to adult and childhood brain cancer patients in memory of Richard Michael Deenihan Jr.
